As a school superintendent, this absolutely disgusts me. It’s inhumane to not respond to a child who is choking to death. What the heck is wrong with people? The lunch monitor should face charges. No question.

I’m a school nurse and I’m sad to say the rest of the school staff aren’t required to be cpr certified in my state. This video is very hard to watch. So heartbreaking.

I’ve taught elementary art for 20 years. I’ve never been CPR certified. I have been trained to pack a wound. Maybe we could make CPR training free to school personnel? I’d happily be trained if the cost was waived. Our district requires “Stop the Bleed” training and mental health first aid training but not CPR.

PREVENTABLE!!! That’s the biggest issue I have. I couldn’t imagine seeing blood on her cheeks and telling her to RUN to the nurse. I can’t imagine.
