@v.aegirsdottir: If you’ve been here for any length of time, you know that my work is ‘place based’ and this series of the five Alaska salmon is a central series that I’ve wanted to create for a long time. These originals will be mounted onto 9x12 cradle panels and the surface will be waxed to protect the painting while allowing it to be displayed without needing glass. I can’t wait to make prints and maybe stickers. Possibly totes and maybe tshirts in the summer. As always, these are painted with earth- and mineral- pigment watercolour paints that I make from locally and globally sourced materials. I’m deeply proud of this series and can’t wait for them to be mounted, photographed, and listed 😍 #alaska #alaskasalmon #salmon #fish #painting
