Sooo, I’ve seen that adding baby powder to the wig makes the plastic effect go away and makes it look way better!

I'd use baby powder to take away the shine or dry shampoo, if you want to make it a better red I'd use synthetic fabric dye and then I'm extra I don't get party city wigs but if I did I'd cut out the "part" and would make a strip of liquid latex scalp and lay it underneath blending the hairs. Or just add bangs sometimes a tiny change to the hairstyle is a cute change to the character costume

We need a part three!! The black is too dark so I’d say go back in with a reddish brown and I think you were getting somewhere with the cutting. Make a small triangular cut at the hairline and it’ll blend into the forehead so much better

I think taking it off and doing this where you could see what you were doing might help and a smaller concealer line but for like a costume wig, looks way better!
