When the world economies collapse and the destructions of prophecy occur the church will be able to continue to function and also aid people through those hard times.

Read the parallel story in Luke 19: 11-27. Jesus has just declared salvation to Zaccheaus... He restored what was taken. Then Jesus tells the story of the evil Herod Antipas. This is showing a corrupt system. The wicked slave was the only one who stayed true to the law.

Brigham said talents were wives. I’m so confused.

Well said. Noted that Christ showed aggression only once. People making money using the the Temple. The Mormon company is literally making money from the 'Temple'.

The slothful servant in criticizing the master. “You reap where you have not sown” meaning “You’re expecting benefits from work you didn’t put in”. That’s why he calls him a “hard man”

You can also look at the way the church uses that set of scriptures to keep people extra busy and overextend themselves. Don’t say no to a calling because it could expand your talents. There was guilt I felt at not expanding my talents at all times. The fact I didn’t stick with Piano did that mean that I was not using my talents to serve the church? This and many other examples

They are building a shopping center and a shit ton of rentals just north of the St. George red cliffs temple. The land was donated to the church.

Mormons love to selectively use the Bible to justify their horrible behavior. They point towards Jesus flipping tables more than stories of forgiveness or the talents where Jesus says to build wealth while ignoring how he said to give all to the poor. It’s almost like a different Jesus…

Spot on! The Parable of the Talents argument absolutely falls apart the second you look at the 2023 SEC order. Jesus didn't tell anyone to create 13 illegal shell companies to hide tens of billions from the public. Hoarding $260 billion while spending less than 1% on actual humanitarian relief isn't stewardship. It's just corporate greed sadly!

The active members on this app strive to be more the the jesus who flipped tables than the merciful jesus. Thank you for pointing out the fact that jesus flipped the table because of the money changers in the temple, not because someone has a different opinion. Why are they not upset at the misuse of their tithing funds?
