I have face blindness and it's nothing like this. Yes, I do recognize people based off of noticeable features; however, I'm not just incapable of seeing faces. I can see them, but to me it's like they look the exact way I just can't recognize them immediately. I need to hear their voice multiple times or see their silhouette. Distinct facial features help me. I recognize a friend because of her style, another friend because of her hair, etc.

that is not actually how it is. someone will wave at you and you'll pretend to know them until you recognize something consistent about them. and then you know who it is. never once in my life have I walked past somebody who said hi to me. even when I don't know who they are.

For me, face blindness isnt so much about not being able to see features. Its more like... every nose looks the same, everyone's eyes look the same. Even worse, you know how people get annoyed with white people because we all think people of different races look the same? Like "Asian people look the same" etc? Thats me [Crying] IM SORRY BUT I CANT TELL PEOPLE APART AND SOMETIMES SKIN COLOUR IS THE ONLY THING I RECOGNIZE. You have to have VERY unique features for me to recognize you the second time I see you. Even shaving your beard or wearing sunglasses can make it so I cant recognize you, even if I see you every day for a month.
