@hanahsolum: I also slept in my recliner for a couple nights and that was so nice, we also have a lower bed this time around and I’m SO happy for that, our old bed was sooo high up. I bought a recliner pillow this time and will be using that for sure! #csectionrecovery #csection #csectionmom #postpartum
I’ve had 3 c-sections and was only offered the tap block on my last one and it was a game changer!

I used depends after my c section.. I swear by them! It made a world of difference for me then to fight with pads and trying to get them all situated while barely being able to bend in the first place. Just pulled those babies up and I was all set!

I had trapped gas in my shoulders and it was worse than the pain from the incision. Gas x and sprite saved me

The gas pain was far more painful than the incision site itself. I didn’t take pain meds because the pain I was in was not relieved with it. I was up within 5 hours doing a shower. FTM.

4 C-sections.. didnt have trapped gas, but I agree with the walking, the hospital undies & a boppy pillow are always on my recommendation list!

Drink orange juice. My surgeon told me it promotes healing and making sure you dry your incision after a shower. I used a blow dryer

I wore the hospital underwear (asked for a few pairs) for a while after each C-section. Couldn’t imagine having “normal” underwear rubbing on the incision…

GIRL, ask for diclofenac instead of Tylenol and Advil!!! It’s oral volteran and when I tell you it was a GAME changer… they gave it to me with my last baby… when I mentioned it to the midwife she was like “actually, that’s genius it helps with inflammation too”. GAME CHANGER

I had a tap clock with my c section, I didn’t have to take any pain meds after surgery! Is this c section optional or you have to since your first was a c section? I can’t decide what to do when we have another, I had the best c section experience with no pain at all so I’m leaning towards another but I also want to try a vaginal birth 😩

5 c-sections never had trapped gas! I have a very high pain tolerance, only took pain meds in the hospital. Praying everything goes well for you!

Heads up with the T Block… I’ve had two, after an emergency C and scheduled. They will likely ask your husband to leave after baby is out to do the TB. This is normal and nice to know ahead of time for you both. My poor Husband was so nervous waiting because they were behind and I was in there for over an hour with my first.
