I am current finishing my sophomore year of college and I am currently 46 🙄 working to get my degree in accounting. My goal is my masters and my CPA license. Call me crazy but now that my kids are done homeschooling, it’s my time to restart my career and be better than before. I am blessed my husband has fully supported this plan. I am also working on my health to help, physical health to prepare me, I won’t be the same as the 20 year olds and that’s okay.

I went back to school at 27 n got my associates with 3 kids. now im a senior auditor at 32 with 4 kids n i graduate with my bachelor's this December.. I plan to sit for the cpa exam next year so I think its possible bt I did have to lock in and let work, school and being a mom my life for the last 5 years... bt had i not committed to this journey at 27 I'd still be 32 now but im so much closer to my goals

This is my concern too because I went back to school for accounting at 32. When you mention time commitment I think people should also consider the the commitment to school because the material can be hard to grasp.

Thoughts: 30m and going back to get 30 credits for accounting and focusing on tax then CPA. Not interested in public as I have an insurance business and still working in sales. Looking to have a side bookkeeping/tax side hustle and to understand business better. Is private a good route for CPA license/hours and a good move overall?
