@catholicliz1: November 2nd, the church celebrates All Souls Day, where we remember those who have passed away and take time to pray for them and their souls! You can obtain an indulgence this day for participating in praying for those who have passed. #catholic #catholicchurch #catholicfaith #ocia #JesusChrist

Welp… I’m on a discipline and can’t receive the Eucharist. Pray for me and my time in purgatory.

A plenary indulgence (minus Divine Mercy Sunday) requires complete detachment from even venial sin. Ain’t nobody on this God forsaken app getting that indulgence 😂

on November 2nd the plenary indulgence is only applicable to the souls in Purgatory! it's not applicable to the living. you can obtain a plenary indulgence from the 1st of November to the 8th of November for the Souls in Purgatory only.

Those are the usual external conditions, but there's another condition for a plenary indulgence: you must be free from attachment to all sin, even venial sin. That doesn't mean you have to be incapable of committing another venial sin or somehow become sinless. It means you can't be deliberately clinging to one—basically saying, ‘I know this is sinful, but I'm keeping this one.’ If that complete detachment is lacking, the indulgence is partial rather than plenary.

Even though I grew up with half my family Catholic it’s always crazy to me how many traditions that aren’t in the bible yall follow. Not saying that as a bad thing at all just interesting

This indulgence is only for the souls in purgatory unless you do another act separately from this like 30 minutes of adoration or reciting the rosary in church.

I think the most beautiful thing about being Roman Catholic. As I can travel anywhere in the world. And the mass is going to be the same anywhere. I absolutely love my people. And even if you don’t have 45 minutes to go to church. Just walk in. let a candle for your love one. And you were loved. Thank you so much.❤️

I think you also have to be no remaining attachment to sin to receive the plenary indulgence. And if you have like still some attachment to sin you still receive a partial indulgence. Great video btw!

When you say pray the creed, are you referring to the Apostle’s Creed or the Nicene Creed? Genuinely curious

My church bulletin says you only need 1 confession for all the plenary indulgences (Nov 1-8) you intend to get for yourself or someone in purgatory (1 per day) but you need to receive Holy Communion each day for each indulgence
