kepawepa :
I lied to my mum about how I was feeling everyday after school, because when she got sick I never wanted her to worry about me. So I lied and now that she’s passed, I regret not telling her the things that she really needed to hear, all the stuff that she could’ve had helped me about, she could’ve taught me things, taught me how to work away from those situations, taught me how to recover when something really hurt, she could’ve taught me so many things about what I was going thru. But I didn’t talk, I didn’t speak, I didn’t tell her the things that she needed to hear, all because I didn’t want her to “worry”, it was so selfish of me to think like that. She told me to talk to her about stuff, saying that she’s here for me, but I didn’t, I bottled it up and left it be. I never realised until now, that our parents, their job is to be worried about their kid. I never really let that regret eat me up tho, because I know that’s not what she would’ve wanted, but still talk more, show more, speak up more, be considerate more, and love more, family and or friends are here for a reason.
