I actually think it’s internalised misogyny, the patriarchy did that to us. Pitted us against each other to compete, and then made us believe the older we got, the less relevant we were. It’s so sad, but as a 54-year-old woman, it’s something I’ve become acutely aware of and refuse to do.

I have always dealt with girls/ woman like this… but only recently since becoming a mum I have realised that they really are just not happy with themselves and their lives!!! Keep these types of people at arms length and ignore them

I am 44 and I was not really very nice when I was younger and I have really asked myself why? I wasn’t particularly unhappy with myself but I really feel like I was just going with the flow - bully or be bullied. I am glad the younger generations are doing better. I was able to grow up and not be a dick but a lot of older women are pretty stunted in their development.

Its like that age group has not been trained on how social media comments effects others. I enjoy watching The Block ( I know ) and stumbled across their FB fan page and these woman were awful to young ladies on the show.
