I don't think people fully understood Buck's point of view yet when he said, "Yes, because I was with you in most of them." I think he's trying to say to Eddie, in other words, "I want you to be here and do what I did for you because I need your help." When he said "the door's there," I don't think he meant for Eddie to leave. I think he expected Eddie to stay, like every time Eddie pushes Buck away. But Buck doesn't push away because he knows Eddie needs his help. So Buck's heart broke when he saw Eddie really left!! At the same time, I understand Eddie's point of view and I think they will resolve this as they resolve everything else (and sorry, English is not my first language).

We’ve been told of an Eddie maddi convo. I think she helps him understand that Buck is trying to reckon his childhood and hope that Theo never develops the coping mechanisms he did in order to get attention from his parents.

In my opinion, Buck is terrified of not being a good guardian for Theo, which is why he gives in to him in every single way. He’s afraid that Eddie might judge him as unfit, and so he rejects the well-intentioned advice offered by the very person who could actually help him—someone who has raised a child on his own. I would hate for their relationship to become strained because of this. At the same time, though, arguments are necessary; they help show just how much they care about each other.
