Last-minute Diwali dessert? ✨🪔 Turning a simple Betty Crocker cake mix into a delicious Rasmalai Tres Leches Cake! 🍰💛 Soft, creamy, infused with saffron and cardamom, and so easy to make! 🍰 Rasmalai Tres Leches Cake For the cake: * ½ box Betty Crocker Super Moist White Cake Mix * Half the eggs, oil and water required on the box (follow package instructions) * ¼ tsp cardamom powder For the saffron milk mixture: * ½ cup whole milk * ½ cup evaporated milk * ¼ cup sweetened condensed milk (adjust to taste) * A few strands of saffron * ¼ tsp cardamom powder For the whipped cream topping: * 1 cup whipping cream * ½ tsp vanilla bean paste * A pinch of cardamom powder * Crushed pistachios * Dried edible rose petals 👩🍳 Instructions: 1. Prepare half the Betty Crocker cake mix according to the package instructions, using half of each ingredient. Add ¼ tsp cardamom powder, mix and bake as directed. Let the cake cool completely. 2. In a saucepan, combine the whole milk, evaporated milk, condensed milk, saffron and cardamom powder. Gently warm over low heat to infuse the flavours. Do not boil. Let cool. 3. Poke holes all over the cooled cake using a fork or skewer. 4. Slowly pour the saffron milk mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak in. 5. Cover and refrigerate overnight for the best flavour and texture. 6. Whip the cold whipping cream with vanilla bean paste and a pinch of cardamom until fluffy and soft-to-medium peaks form. 7. Spread the whipped cream over the chilled cake and garnish with crushed pistachios and dried rose petals. Serve chilled and enjoy! 💛 Save this recipe for your next celebration! ✨ #tresleches #Diwali #rasmalaicake #canadatiktok #dessert @Betty Crocker @KitchenAid @Made In Cookware
