Di Leher Terdapat Pembuluh Darah Utama Di bagian kiri dan kanan leher terdapat pembuluh darah arteri yang sangat vital, yaitu Arteri Karotis (Carotid artery) dan Arteri Vertebralis. Berikut adalah penjelasan medis mengenai bagaimana kerokan di leher bisa berisiko menyebabkan pecahnya atau robeknya pembuluh darah yang berujung pada stroke: 1. Di Leher Terdapat Pembuluh Darah Utama Di bagian kiri dan kanan leher terdapat pembuluh darah arteri yang sangat vital, yaitu Arteri Karotis (Carotid artery) dan Arteri Vertebralis. Pembuluh darah ini berfungsi sebagai "jalan tol" utama yang memompa darah kaya oksigen dari jantung langsung ke otak. 2. Tekanan Fisik yang Berlebihan Saat seseorang dikerok di area leher menggunakan benda tumpul (seperti koin atau logam), gesekan dan tekanan fisik yang keras, berulang, atau terlalu kuat dapat memberikan trauma fisik langsung pada dinding pembuluh darah arteri tersebut. 3. Risiko Terjadinya Diseksi Arteri (Arterial Dissection) Tekanan keras dari kerokan dapat menyebabkan terjadinya diseksi arteri, yaitu robekan atau luka pada lapisan bagian dalam dinding pembuluh darah (intima). Akibat robekan ini: Terbentuk Bekuan Darah: Darah yang mengalir akan membeku di area yang robek untuk menutup luka tersebut (trombus). Penyumbatan atau Lepasnya Emboli: Bekuan darah ini bisa menyumbat aliran darah ke otak secara total, atau serpihan bekuannya terlepas, ikut mengalir bersama aliran darah, dan menyumbat pembuluh darah yang lebih kecil di dalam otak (Stroke Iskemik). Pecahnya Pembuluh Darah: Jika dinding pembuluh darah yang sudah meradang atau rapuh akibat tekanan tersebut mengalami robekan total, maka bisa terjadi perdarahan (Stroke Hemoragik). Mitos atau Fakta: "Kerokan Mengeluarkan Masuk Angin" Secara medis, istilah "masuk angin" sebenarnya tidak ada. Sensasi pegal atau tidak enak badan yang sering disebut masuk angin biasanya disebabkan oleh kelelahan otot, penumpukan asam laktat, atau peradangan ringan. Saat dikerok, kulit mengalami iritasi dan pembuluh darah kecil di permukaan kulit (kapiler) pecah, yang memunculkan warna merah kehitaman. Respons tubuh terhadap iritasi ini memicu pelepasan hormon endorfin yang membuat badan terasa sedikit lebih hangat atau rileks, tetapi kerokan sama sekali tidak mengeluarkan angin atau racun dari dalam tubuh. Kesimpulan Meskipun banyak orang merasa "lega" setelah dikerok, melakukan kerokan di area leher sangat tidak dianjurkan karena terlalu berisiko bagi keselamatan pembuluh darah besar menuju otak. Jika Anda atau orang terdekat mengalami pegal-pegal di leher, jauh lebih aman untuk mengatasinya dengan: Kompres hangat atau mandi air hangat. Pijatan lembut yang ringan tanpa tekanan keras (hindari penekanan kuat di area samping/depan leher).
