A farm full of quarter horses, surely ONE can be trained to sort cattle 😂

walking Pint to the barn was a lot smarter than trying to catch him. Last thing we want is Pint running away on a sore leg. Keep things calm and he won't hurt himself further

Plus if he decides to get ugly about it he can cause some damage to a human with his hooves and that big head.

Obviously I understand why you don’t use the show horses for sorting cattle, but I’m curious why you don’t have working horses or dogs (and a couple people with the skills to work them) for this purpose?

Poor Mr. Pint, hopefully it’s nothing serious and being in a smaller area gives his leg more rest. No, halter breaking is not an option on a big cattle farm. We don’t have halter broke cows on our dairy farm as well, let’s also be honest, there’s no need for. You call your cows with food, at our farm they come inside twice a day to go through the milk robot. And if they don’t, yeah, we have to herd them to the barn, but that’s mostly the first time mommas who don’t understand the robot quite yet.
