As I child we had a German shepherd and my mom said that I would bite his tail and ride him as a pony and he was so docile. You are right! He was very protective of all of us.

My boy died of hip cancer at 8 years old, a month before his birthday. My family protected me from crying out loud. Also had a tuxedo female cat who died before him after 14 years. Both died in 2020. The house was quiet

My girl was the nanny of a group of kids, my own and the neighbors. She would lay in the grass and watch. When one wandered off, she would get up and push them back onto the lawn. There are dogs, and then there's German Shepards!!!💕
