luvfiti :

Algérois🇩🇿🇵🇸 :

bananass :

"cultures that have seen a giraffe vs cultures that have not"

ツ𝔸𝕊ℍ😮‍💨 :

it's like explaining a dog to someone who never seen a dog before

lumberrock943 :

Almost like the artist never seen a giraffe before

hm :

So called "CIVILISED PEOPLE" thing we might not understand

jota :

REDv :

but... how did the giraffes portraye the humans...

Lordpancakes 🌈🍖 :

It’s because most people in medieval Europe had never seen a giraffe and were going off descriptions 😭

Clementine~•`☆ :

tbf artists werent really going for realism, their perspectives on what art should look like is different from ours now (which is why a lot if animals they would've known the looks of are still a bit off)

theraininspain :

Painting vs art…

Maximiliano Saravia :

“Imagine describing a dog to someone Who’s never seen a dog before, then asking them to draw it”

LolaMars :

This is proof of what I’ve been saying for years — giraffes don’t exist!

bigrigfig :

well tbh the only safe liquid was alcohol

Verzier7 :

maybe they just sucked at drawing ?

Aaliyah_Violin27 :

It's like explaining a dog to someone who's never seen a dog before.

j1n_zo :

victorAL :

Pinturas de 1800 vs Pinturas de 1200

Roszty :

cómo siempre la religión está atrasando el talento humano

Historian_26🇦🇿🇹🇷 :

Ancient China is insane👍

Cherfus :

empiezo a creer que los europa tenían puro skinwalker

xXchatgpsteveXx :

they were going off what they were told they had never laid eyes on a giraff

I’m tired of these comments saying “they’ve only seen it once” or “they’ve never seen it before” vice versa. But you gotta realize they did this for almost every animal including their own animal species within their countries. Literally this is how they depict wolves

goldbear :

1. photo speed ha!?

ILrioomii 🖤 :

This could be a new mythical creature
