@songs_that_take_us_back: is a landmark 1969 funk and psychedelic soul anthem by Sly and the Family Stone. Originally released as the energetic B-side to their smash hit "Stand!", the song famously became one of the defining highlights of the 1969 Woodstock Festival, where Sly Stone led the massive crowd in a frantic, 3:30 AM call-and-response chant of "Higher!". #slyandthefamilystone #Woodstock
