pain coming from a new tattoo can be normal until it’s scabbed, keep an eye out for any new redness, oozing, streaking on/around it. But pain when it’s freshly done is normal yes.

Guys I’m not concerned about pain right after getting the tattoo. I know it happens. I’m talking about enjoying the feeling of it lol
