Cox engines were better than others because they were more precise.

If you were lucky, you got the PT19 for Christmas. and if you were really lucky your dad didn't crash it before you had a chance to crash it yourself. That started my love affair with model air planes. I'm 65 years old now and I still have a basement full of airplanes. But now they are RC Park flyers foam and electric. But I still have a soft place in my heart for the sound and smell of a gas engine. just not the patience to try to start and tune one when I can put my battery in, hit the throttle and be flying in seconds not minutes of trying to start, and tune the gas engines.
