@softened.life: ✨ There will be times 🕰️ even seasons 🍂 when God calls us to a higher purpose, ✨ when we must “drink the bitter cup 🍶 & be strong 💪🏼" ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• ✨ These seasons 🍂 may last days, weeks, months, or even years🗓️ ✨ & the bitter cup 🍶will look different for each of us. ✨ It may come through financial 💸 hardship, a broken relationship 💔, abuse or addiction ⛓️, the loss of someone 🕊️ or something we love, or a battle within our own hearts & minds 💭 ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• ✨ Whatever form it takes, suffering is not evidence of a lack of love from our Heavenly Father 🤍 ✨ If that were so, then He must not have loved His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ☀️ ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• ✨ When Christ was in the Garden of Gethsemane 🌳, bearing the sins, pains ❤️‍🩹, & afflictions of the world 🌎, ✨ He pleaded 🙏🏼 with the Father for the bitter cup 🍶 to pass from Him. ✨ Yet He submitted 🏳️Himself to the Father’s will 📜: “Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• ✨The cup was not taken away, but Christ was not abandoned 🧺 ✨The scriptures 📖 tell us that an angel 🪽from heaven ☁️ came to strengthen 💪🏼Him in His suffering. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• ✨ Whatever you may be carrying today, give it to God🎁 ✨ Let Him strengthen 💪🏼you, refine you, & carry you to higher places. #hope #gospel #positivemessage #brightfutureahead #nature
