Just wanna clarify, we’re too lazy to clean our hands afterwards so that’s why we sometimes wear gloves or use cloth to touch dogs. But if they are dry and clean we can touch them without any items.

In Malaysia, we use the Shafiie school of thought, where we can't touch the dog itself unlike the other schools of thought that allows to pet dogs except for its saliva

I’m Muslim and have a dog I just have it restricted from certain rooms and we can mostly certainly pet them it’s the saliva that’s haram and we wash our hands. Y’all doing too much. 😭
