🛒 Ingredients * About 3 lbs of whole chicken 🐔 * Kabocha squash 🎃 * Corn 🌽 * Cherry tomatoes 🍅 * Broccoli 🥦 * Carrot 🥕 * Butter 🧈 * Honey 🍯 * Apple 🍎 * Olive oil * Salt * Black pepper * Cumin powder * BBQ seasoning 👩‍🍳 Instructions 1️⃣ Prepare the ingredients** Wash and clean all the vegetables. Set everything aside. 2️⃣ Prepare the chicken** Clean the chicken thoroughly. Remove the head and tail, then cut open the chicken feet. Soak the chicken in salt water for about 1 hour. After soaking, pat the chicken completely dry with paper towels. Use a toothpick to poke small holes all over the chicken so the marinade can penetrate more easily. 3️⃣ Make the marinade** Mix together: * 2 tbsp light soy sauce * 1 tbsp dark soy sauce * 1 tbsp oyster sauce * 1 tbsp honey 🍯 * 1 tbsp salt * An appropriate amount of black pepper 4️⃣ Marinate the chicken** Rub the marinade evenly all over the chicken. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours. The longer it marinates, the more flavorful it will be! Flip the chicken several times during marinating to make sure the flavor is evenly absorbed. 5️⃣ Stuff the chicken** Cut the apple 🍎 into pieces and stuff them inside the marinated chicken. Secure the opening with toothpicks, then wrap the tips of the wings and legs with aluminum foil to prevent them from burning. 6️⃣ Roast the chicken** Mix butter 🧈 and honey 🍯 in a **1:1 ratio** to make a smooth glaze. Brush the honey-butter glaze evenly over the chicken. Place the chicken in a preheated oven and roast at **265°F (130°C)** for about **1½ hours**. Every 20 minutes, turn the chicken over and brush it with another layer of the honey-butter glaze. 7️⃣ Prepare the vegetables** Add the kabocha squash 🎃, corn 🌽, cherry tomatoes 🍅, carrots 🥕, and blanched broccoli 🥦 to a bowl. Add a little olive oil, black pepper, cumin powder, BBQ seasoning, and salt. Toss everything until evenly coated. 8️⃣ Roast everything together** Wrap the pre-roasted chicken in aluminum foil. Add the slower-cooking vegetables — kabocha squash 🎃, corn 🌽, and carrots 🥕— and roast at 350°F (180°C) for 20 minutes. Then add the quick-cooking vegetables — cherry tomatoes 🍅 and broccoli 🥦** — and roast for another 10 minutes at 350°F (180°C).
