I think ppl look at Ing's behavior only through the lens of what Yok is doing and conclude that he should distance himself, have more self-respect and stop trying...but that completely overlooks why Yok means so much to Ing and just how much this connection means to him. Ing lost his mom, carries his wounds and all that emotional weight deep inside, and is someone who has grown used to keeping his distance from others. For someone who's had to go through so much, esp from such a young age, those experiences can shape the way they see love and relationships. And it's so worth considering how Ing's past might have made it harder for him to let ppl in and how it affects the way he gets attached to someone. And Yok is the first person he has allowed to get this close to him, someone who has brought warmth, happiness and a sense of belonging into his life, something he have not felt in a long time..like falling in love with yok made him willing to let his guard down and experience a kind of closeness he wasn't used to.yeah, he has his grandpa, but the love and connection he shares with him are different from what he feels for Yok and what he longs to have with him. This is a completely different kind of love, and is s something we need to keep in mind when trying to understand why Ing doesn't want to simply give up on Yok.
