@nayram_tv.0: I have received heartbreaking information about the death of Javits Frimpong, a 15-year-old Ghanaian boy who was reportedly shot and killed while walking to school in the Bronx, New York, on Thursday, October 29, 2026. According to the information received, the young boy was chased and ran several metres desperately trying to save his life, but unfortunately, he was shot and killed. His father, Thomas Frimpong, revealed that just three days before the incident, the school principal had informed him that two students had been bullying his son and had been suspended for a week. However, it remains unclear whether the bullying was connected to his death. I want to urge all Ghanaians living in the United States, especially New York, to take their safety seriously. Areas such as Mott Haven, Hunts Point, Morrisania, Highbridge, Brownsville and East New York have faced crime and security challenges. Families should carefully research these neighbourhoods before deciding where to live. I would also advise Ghanaian families considering relocation to look into communities such as Scarsdale, Bronxville, Rye, Larchmont and White Plains, while checking current crime rates, school safety and living costs. No community is completely free from crime.
