@obubba_app: how long can a newborn stay awake? 👀 often a lot less than parents expect. in the first few weeks, many newborns are ready to sleep again after about 30 to 60 minutes awake, and that includes the feed and the nappy change. here's how to spot it gently: 1️⃣ start the clock when they wake, not when the feed ends 2️⃣ watch for early cues: a faraway stare, turning away, a little frown or jerky arms 3️⃣ yawning and eye rubbing often come later, so aim to start winding down before them 4️⃣ dim the lights and keep things calm once the cues show 5️⃣ if they still won't settle, check the basics: a feed, a burp, a nappy, or simply being awake a bit too long 🌙 every sleep: on their back in a clear cot or sleeping bag. every baby is different, so follow your baby's cues. OBubba learns your baby's own awake times from the sleeps you log, counts down to the next nap and shows how ready for sleep they are right now. Premium is on us for the first 2 months, so it's all free while they're tiny. link in bio, tap "Newborn days and nights" 👆 #newborn #newbornsleep #wakewindows #babysleep #babysleeptips #newmum #mumlife
