@everythingdowningtown: Mill Town Square just sold for $22 million, and the Philadelphia Business Journal reported it on October 27th. The buyer is Clemens Development, which is the real estate arm of the Clemens family company that makes Hatfield meats. They’re a 6th generation family business and their real estate side has grown to over $200 million in about 15 years, mostly industrial, farm, and retail property around Pennsylvania. The center at 150 East Pennsylvania Avenue was built in 1971 and renovated in 2005. It sits on almost 9 acres with about 528 parking spaces, it has medical, office, and retail buildings including Main Line Health’s heart group and primary care, and it’s walkable to the Main Street shops, our 2 community parks, and the train station. Nothing has been announced about tenants or plans yet. And I have it on a good source that nothing is planned to change in terms of development. What do you hope stays exactly the way it is, and what would you love to see go in there?

I can’t see them buying the shopping center and keeping all the stores there 😔 it’s always a reason behind the reason
