@performancetherapy: That stubborn neck or shoulder blade knot that ALWAYS comes back? 👀⚠️ You stretch it. Massage it. Dig into it. Maybe you’ve even tried dry needling or chiropractic adjustments. It feels better for a little while… Then that SAME knot comes right back! 😩 But what if the knot isn’t actually the primary problem? What if the muscle is tightening up because something else is restricting its movement? In this patient, we found adhesion restricting the tissues around the spinal accessory nerve, which supplies the trapezius and plays an important role in shoulder blade movement. When this area becomes restricted, it can contribute to: 🔥 Stubborn knots along the neck and shoulder blade 🔥 Constant upper trap tightness 🔥 Aching between the shoulder blades 🔥 Protective muscle guarding 🔥 Tightness that keeps returning despite treatment Here’s what most people miss… That tight muscle may be where you FEEL the problem, but it isn’t necessarily where the problem STARTS. And no amount of digging into a muscle will directly address a nerve restriction somewhere else. That’s why we don’t just chase knots. We assess. We palpate. We find the restriction. We treat. Then we reassess. 💥 Because sometimes the muscle isn’t the problem… It’s protecting you FROM the problem. 👇 Have a neck or shoulder blade knot that keeps coming back?
