footnote___ :
The same Andy whom Damon spent a long time manipulating? Feeding on her, hypnotizing her, abusing her just as he did with Caroline. Also Damon was always quick to point out everything Stefan did. I understand that people have their favorites, but you can’t turn a blind eye to the kind of person Damon was, nor to the kind of person Stefan was

Damon spent his life defending Stefan protecting him from their father he became a vampire for Stefan he was willing to walk into numerous dangerous places to protect stefan sure Stefan saved Damon from the fire but whose fault was the fire to begin with.... There's so much Damon gets blamed for even he admits he knows he's no saint he owns who he is as he says to klaus "he's OK being the bad guy but do it with purpose otherwise your just a dlck* Damon even tells Elena Stefan is more worthy of her when actually her life would of been better had she met Tom instead of Stefan.... I will always chose Damon

As a stefan girl, Damon was just misunderstood and wanted to be loved.

So who told Elena that Stefan had become addicted to blood again? Who told Elena to abandon Stefan's search because he'd become a butcher again, even though Stefan had sacrificed himself for Damon so he could have the cure and not die? Ready for her to debate already?

Coco9330 :
Growing up is realizing Damon was the better brother. Damon was only a vampire because Stefan couldn’t deal with his brother growing old and dying. Stefan was the ripper. He killed so many more than Damon. Damon was captured and tortured for years but Stefan wouldn’t have known because he was too busy being the ripper and hanging with KLAUS. Damon met Elena first but he didn’t want to disturb her life once he found out she wasn’t Katherine so he compelled her to forget. Damon gave ole girl (I forgot her name) a dream she could die peacefully in. It’s a reason why Caroline mom loved Damon more than Stefan. Y’all see the way him and Katherine clicked more than her and Damon right? He wanted to make sure he stayed in Elena’s life to make sure she doesn’t turn into Katherine. His love was conditional but Damon loved Elena no matter what she chose. The list could on and on. Damon was content with being the bad guy because that’s all anyone ever threw in his face despite doing good. Stefan tried so hard to be good because all he did was kill and deceive people as well but Klaus showed his true colors every single time…
