@tourtimenyc: The Fillmore East was a legendary 2,700-seat capacity rock music venue located in the East Village of NYC at📍105 Second Avenue. Operated by promoter Bill Graham from March 8, 1968, to June 27, 1971, it was called the "Church of Rock and Roll" and hosted landmark concerts and live recordings. The venue was known for two-show, triple-bill lineups, state-of-the-art sound, and the psychedelic Joshua Light Show which was a pioneering analog psychedelic liquid light art group founded in 1967 by multimedia artist Joshua White. Many, many well-known acts played the venue throughout its run, including: The Allman Brothers, Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis, The Doors, Janis Joplin, The Who, Grateful Dead, Frank Zappa, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Santana, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Joe Cocker, Jethro Tull, B.B. King, and The J. Geils Band.
