so this actually affects people i know. centennial airport outside denver is one of the busiest training airports in the country. the faa told the tower to stop allowing touch-and-goes on october 1. no advance notice, no warning to the schools. they just found out. if you've never trained - a touch-and-go is landing and taking off again without stopping. it's how you buy a lot of landings for your money. without them, every pattern costs more time and more fuel. the part that gets me is the schools didn't hear about it first. the airport didn't either. there's a safety panel meeting on it tomorrow, so this might unwind. i'll say what i always say - ask your school what they'd do if your home airport did this tomorrow. most of you won't get an answer. i keep my own hours and my own dollars in a spreadsheet. if you want to see how that turned out, it's on my page. are you training at a busy field? tell me how your school is handling pattern time. #studentpilot #flighttraining #faa #centennialairport #aviation
