Have you ever had a case where the organs appeared relatively normal during the autopsy, but the histology results completely changed your understanding of the cause of death?

How often do you take tissue? And do you have a system for deciding what cases to collect tissue on? Or just more of a “gut feeling” from experience?

do you just remember where you put everything or can you just distinguish everything by sight cause it all looks the same to me. 😶

You might have answered this before so apologies if your repeating it but have you got to have a separate jar for each organ tissue piece ie. separate jar for just the brain and another for just the lungs etc or can you have them all in one big jar and obviously cos you know what your doing etc you know what each piece is of as it's interesting that some tissue samples are very smooth and some like brain are branched off I mean I'd probably up chuck [Tears of joy]touching them but I'm so not nor would be a forensic pathologist but find what you do truly fascinating but just thought I'd ask the question.

Is the lung that dark because of the liquid it was in? Or why is it so dark

Hye, i m forensic medical officer..i hv a question regarding answering questions in court.. if the defence ask "is the injury sufficient to cause death?" Lets say in burn cases.. how do you tackle this question? If we answer "yes".. their subsequent questions will be "if it is treated, will the person survive"
