I think it’s great but now they need to figure out how to create more free parking to make up for the spots that they’re taking away. ALSO, I have lived in my house for 15 yrs and I have never seen a rat until composting was made mandatory in NYC. I have no problem with composting, I do have an issue with the schedule of pick-up. They should pick up the compost trash more frequently than once a week if they really want to avoid attracting rodents.

We have these in Croatia. We pay the city 5€ each month for 'Cleaning' a company which takes care of the streets, deratization, and trees/grass. So lovely to see NYC moving in the right direction!

From Australia we have wheelie bins each house blue bin general waste yellow bin recycling and green bin for green waste it’s great

It’s crazy how in ppl get worked up about parking. NYC is a walkable city that has a vast array of transportation options. If you live in Manhattan you shouldn’t have a car at all (I kinda understand if you’re in the Bronx or far end of Brooklyn)

Why not put on side walk instead of the street where people park there cars? Especially since in residential areas we don’t have that much parking anyway
