As a person who has worked with animal rescue, when you take in an abused animal you have to take baby steps. The slower the transition, the better they will adjust. So keeping her in a small pin, although not ideal for long term, it is ideal for transitioning to keep from adding to stress of the animal. Too many changes at a fast pace will stress her. So you're certainly doing it the right way.

I have found that if you can get close enough to her face, if you slowly blow your breath into her nostrils 3 or 4 times, she will start to trust you faster! it has always worked for me!

As a rescuer I can tell you her situation is better than it was. They need a small space so they feel safe. I’m looking forward to watching her blossom. Thank you for saving her !
