I'm so very proud of us @Lolo Jones 🩵 Coming back to this track meant confronting memories I wasn’t sure I was ready to relive. From the first track walk since last years crash to looking down corners that once felt impossible to face again...Stepping into this week took courage for both of us. This week Lolo stepped in and became exactly the teammate I needed. She did so fully aware of what this track represented for me, and showed nothing but courage and professionalism. She helped me become a better driver and we were able to compete at a level I didn’t know was possible. In fact our pushes were among some of the fastest ever on a US sled in the last 3 years and by far my best pushes ever on the Winterberg track. What Lolo and I built together in Winterberg represents more than just a race. It represents possibility. When you work beside someone like her, you learn there’s no expiration date on ambition. You don’t just see medals...you see the road it took to earn them. And that road becomes a map for those of us trying to fill big shoes one day. And we can. This week she didn't just pass down knowledge, she passed down courage. The courage to believe you belong, to chase something bigger than yourself, and to understand that one day, you too might be the example someone else is watching. And so IM PROUD. I'm proud of US. And I'm proud to be chasing the Olympic dream for my country with people who inspire me. And while this was one of the hardest weeks of my career..the strength to overcome what we both were facing was made possible because we did it together. I'm so very proud of us 🤍 and I'm so thankful also to the women cheering us on and helping us have these performances: @Bobteam Post @marjolein_1999 @jamieverweij @manonschoop We have gained so much this week but also new sisters on ice 🩵🧡 Thank you everyone and thank you lolo for being such an inspiration, a role model to others, and an incredible teammate when I needed it most.
