Idk I can’t do nonchalant stuff like this as much anyway anymore when I consider just how many people got erased under Shibuya during wars and industrial deaths and stuff, and it just feels like we’re all monuments to said erasure walking around in a dystopian ecosystem. Just the modern Capitalist version. It just feels hollow that this is what so many people died for. And the restrictions placed on it and it being a highly policed event just feels like a sign.

Today it will be worse. Last night was fine (I went to Shibuya as well) but on the actual day they put barriers all along the main streets and have hundreds of police offices shouting at people not to stop and there won’t be a crowd like this. I tried going last year and it was such a waste. You couldn’t gather in the street at all.
