@newsblogtv: BREAKING: ABSOLUTELY "INSANE”! Senator Chris Murphy sounds an URGENT ALARM after being briefed on Trump's secret Iran war plans. Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) is issuing a dire warning over the Trump administration’s plans to reboot the war in Iran as soon as the midterm elections are over, and, from what he says, the consequences of the existing war plans will be devastating to American democracy. In a conversation at the Middle East Institute on Thursday, Murphy spoke about the briefings on the Pentagon’s war plans that he’s received in his capacity as a member of both the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the Appropriations Committee. The assessment he delivered was both absolutely devastating and horribly frightening. “In one of these briefings, we did get the chance to have a fairly detailed conversation about what the war plan would be if we restarted military operations. You've heard a preview that it would be a short duration plan. I will just say this, THEIR PLAN IS INSANE,” he said, with no doubt as to the vehemence of his opinion. Murphy not only warned of the death and destruction in the Middle East that the renewed conflict would bring but also predicted that it would destroy a vital component of United States policy since our nation was founded. “it will lead to devastating escalation and the likely destruction of our commitment to the rule of law,” the Connecticut senator apocalyptically predicted. “I mean, there's been open reporting as to, you know, what we may be planning and the civilian infrastructure that we may be targeting,” he explained. “I think the plan, the plan that they have, they have certainly been asked by the president to develop a plan. Whether they believe it, it will work or not, I do not know. But the plan that they have developed will lead, in my view, to a prolongment and an escalation of this war that will be devastating for our security interests.” While until now, Trump has held off on bringing the Iran war back to a full boil, likely in order to avoid an even larger surge in gas and diesel prices for consumers before the midterm elections, once the elections are over, he apparently feels free to get back to depleting American weapons caches and disrupting the global economy. Senator Murphy obviously couldn’t get more specific about what exactly was discussed in the classified briefings because of national security concerns, but if someone of his caliber is loudly turning on a warning siren over these plans, they must be even worse than we imagine. Better start stocking up on food, fuel, and anything else you may need for the months ahead, because if Trump goes through with the plans that Murphy was briefed on, inflation will go even further through the roof. At least, we can say that we’ve been forewarned. Even just the prospect of Trump’s re-escalation of the war should motivate any of you who haven’t already voted to go to the polls to ensure that, in the next Congress at least, a Democratic majority can help keep Donnie Dementia in check!
