@mama_autumn: My son’s Pre-K class had a costume party, and there were brothers dressed up as prison inmates. Now, before anyone gets defensive, this is bigger than a costume. There is power in what we speak over our children, what we normalize, and even what we make light of. Our kids are at an age where they’re learning about the world, forming their identities, and absorbing SO much more than we realize. The things we expose them to, the words we use, and the images we put in front of them all contribute to the messages they’re receiving. A little reminder for this weekend: Be intentional about what you speak over your children AND what you allow to speak into them. Protect their innocence. And give them room to just be kids. 🤍 Y’all be safe this weekend!
