Jean Luc :
Man, what happened to that 15-year-old boy in New York is absolutely heartbreaking. 💔 My deepest condolences go out to his father and the entire family. No parent should ever have to endure the pain of losing a child in such a tragic way.
But I want to address something important to my fellow Africans and Black Americans: Please, let’s not allow this tragedy to become another reason for hatred and division among us.
I understand that tensions have existed between our communities. Some Africans have experienced bullying, discrimination, and mistreatment while growing up in America, and those painful experiences should never be dismissed. However, this is not the moment to revive old wounds or fuel resentment.
We don’t even have all the facts surrounding this tragedy yet. So why are some people already rushing to blame entire communities? New York is home to Africans, African Americans, Dominicans, and people from countless other backgrounds. Let’s allow the investigation to establish the truth before making accusations or passing judgment.
I’m African, and I have Black American friends whom I genuinely love, value, and respect. I know firsthand that goodness and wickedness are not determined by race, ethnicity, or nationality. Every community has both good and bad individuals. The actions of one person should never be used to condemn an entire people.
At the end of the day, we share far more than what divides us. As Black people, whether born in Africa, America, or the Caribbean, we should be building bridges of understanding, solidarity, and mutual respect—not tearing each other apart. ✊🏿❤️A 15-year-old boy has lost his life. A father has lost his son. A family has been devastated. What they need now is truth, justice, compassion, and support—not racial hostility or endless arguments on social media.
Let’s honor this young boy’s memory by standing for justice without promoting hatred, and by refusing to let tragedy destroy the unity we should be striving to build.
Justice for the young boy. Peace and strength to his family. Unity among our communities.
Rest in peace, young king. 🕊️💔
