They don’t. 🚗 Salik (Dubai) Automatic. Every car has a tag. 6 AED at peak (6 to 10am, 4 to 8pm) 4 AED the rest of the day Free from 1am to 6am 🚨 DARB (Abu Dhabi) Not automatic. You must register your car on the DARB app or website. Even with Dubai plates. Even for one day. Unregistered? Fines start at 100 AED, then 200 AED the next day, then 400 AED for every crossing after that. 4 AED per crossing. Old bridge gates: rush hour only (7 to 9am, 3 to 7pm), Monday to Saturday. Sundays free. New Ghantoot and Al Qurm gates: 24/7. Ghantoot sits on the main Dubai to Abu Dhabi road. Drive in from Dubai and you’re paying. And the daily cap? Gone. No limit anymore. they are both automatic the same way you register your car in salik, its the same way you have to register your car in Darb. Salik has a tag, but darb uses only your plate number. Once you register, it starts collecting automatically and when you cross without registering, you only get fined after 10 days which they will send you an SMS to inform you that you need to register your under Darb. not everything she says it true
