@bayoucultureco: Replying to @HouseofShavion|BEAUTY CREATOR Some of y’all think because your linking with felons “they can’t vote.” 🤨 BABY, WHO TOLD YOU THAT?! 😭 Theres been A LOT of conversation about whether people with felony convictions can vote, and the answer is NOT a simple yes or no! Voting rights vary by state, but here in Louisiana, having a felony conviction does NOT automatically mean you can never vote again. 🗳️ In Louisiana, voting rights can be restored once someone completes their sentence, including probation or parole. For most felony convictions, you may even qualify after being out of prison for 5 years, even if you're still on probation or parole! So before you let somebody hit you with the “I can't vote, I'm a felon” excuse, make sure y’all both know the rules.
