@camplifenation: Legendary Sports Duo May Split After 24 Years Following a Tense Pregame Exchange Over a Massive Contract Troy Aikman and Joe Buck have been calling NFL games together for 24 years. But according to a new report from The Athletic, their legendary partnership might be coming to an end. It all started when Joe Buck reached an agreement on a six-year, $108 million deal with ESPN. According to the report, Troy Aikman was completely blindsided. The Hall of Fame quarterback reportedly learned he wasn’t included as a package deal and accused Buck of going behind his back. This built up to a tense argument just before the Bills-Rams game on October 12. According to The Athletic, Buck reportedly confronted his longtime partner, saying, "You are not going to f---ing talk to me? I'm not the reason you don't have a contract." Aikman reportedly replied, "I just never thought you’d do it to me." He then alluded to five producers and directors who have left during their time at ESPN. Buck reportedly fired back, claiming the network got rid of them because Aikman was screaming at them. Sources familiar with Buck’s perspective told the outlet that Aikman's demands for replays made production standards untenable. Meanwhile, Aikman’s team reportedly views Buck as a master manipulator. The iconic duo could now finish their run together at the Super Bowl on February 14, 2027.
