Yes! My ex only ever wanted to sit on the couch and watch sports. We could never do anything because SOME game was on. My now husband and I are always going out and about doing fun things and it’s AMAZING!!!!!

We tend to actively ignore differences in lifestyle, habits, intellect even political and erhical topics when we fancy someone. When the first flush of fancyness is gone by month 4 or 6, you just drag it on until you can admit you chose wrong, once again.

I think it also depends on how much you two are willing to incorporate aspects of one another into each other’s lives despite not being 100% similar. For example, I love exercising and meal prepping but he doesn’t. However, he shows interest in what I’m doing and encourages me along the way and vice versa. He also wants to go out and do things with me which makes a huge difference.

I have ended a few relationships over this exact reason. they weren't bad people, they just never wanted to do much or get out. my husband and i are always finding new hobbies, staying active, etc. It has made it hard to find girlfriends though, because most I meet only ever want to "do brunch" lol

The problem is the young person you are doesn’t know what they want later on what’s good for the time isn’t what’s good long term and that’s ok you learn you grow and that’s how you then know what you want

My ex mostly stay at home and be lazy' my other ex can't sit still and likes to go out without cleaning for months. My now husband we like staying home and going out just balance. We cook together, bake and love playing tennis we are in the same club different team. I don't feel pressure doing stuff unlike the past relationship i've had. It was stressful.
