@morethanamarinmom: I grew up privileged, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. But my parents made sure I understood that having money didn’t mean I was entitled to everything I wanted. Two things they did that I’m now trying to teach my own kids: 1. They told us NO. Just because they could afford something didn’t mean we automatically got it. We had to understand the value of money. 2. They took us into our community to give back. We delivered toys, food, and necessities to families who had less than we did. It wasn’t just about donating money. It was about stepping outside our bubble and understanding how fortunate we were. Because when you grow up surrounded by privilege, you don’t necessarily recognize it. It’s just your normal. I want my children to have every opportunity I can give them, but I also want them to understand that those opportunities are privileges, not entitlements. You can give your kids a privileged life without raising entitled kids. What did your parents do that taught you the value of money? #Parenting #FinancialLiteracy #GenerationalWealth #frugalliving #MoneyMindset
Real I’m so grateful I am spoil but I learn no is no and yes is yes and it’s so beautiful bc I’m not a brat and I learn ITS OK and always be grateful for what u alr have 🥹
