@ballandboot: After losing his wife and two children in the earthquake that struck Venezuela in June, footballer Lucas Trejo gave an emotional interview and revealed that he received special help from Antonela Roccuzzo and Lionel Messi. 🗣“She was the first person to help us. I was told about it later because I was in a state of shock, but it was her, through her foundation. She sent us everything we needed to set up a camp, making sure we always had drinks and never ran out of food. We had internet, and we were able to set up a tent where we could sleep. She was truly there for us, and it’s something I will never forget.” But Antonela wasn’t the only one who helped him. Trejo also revealed that Messi sent him clothes through the son of Guillermo Hoyos, who was managing Inter Miami at the time. “On the seventh day after I arrived in Córdoba, Bochi Hoyos, Guillermo’s son, came to see me. He arrived with two suitcases of clothes. One was from Inter Miami staff, who had bought things for me because I had lost everything. They had also collected some money to send me in case I needed it. “The other suitcase was sent by Leo Messi, containing his own clothes and sneakers. He was playing in the World Cup, but even so, after hearing the news, he reached out to help. I really wanted to highlight this publicly. I hope I can visit them soon, give them a hug, and thank everyone who showed me such kindness,” he concluded. Messi and Antonela showed that sometimes the greatest acts of kindness happen away from the football pitch. 🙏❤️
