I must've done wrong investment on my 401k in my 30s because now just shy of 60 I'm only at $200k. Should I open IRA?

Like who has 100,000 to invest at 50 you’ve been working and trying to support your family. I don’t think 100,000 is good advice.

@Dario :
I went from worrying about my next paycheck to having enough financial breathing room to take care of my mom. That's growth.

Nope. I’m screwed. 54 started 403 late, my kids only 12. UGH.

Yes, the best time to plant a tree was 30 years ago. Second best time? Today. Especially if you’ve still got 30+ years to see it grow.

Do you have any information or video if you get a pension starting at 50yo and what you should save in your 401k to live comfortably

Absolutely! It's never too late to start being intentional about your financial future. And investing doesn't necessarily stop at retirement—it's about continuing to build and manage wealth so your money can keep working for you throughout retirement.

How much money do you actually need to live on? What if your house is already paid off and you don’t pay property taxes? What if you had zero consumer debt? And what if your medical is covered 100% for life? If you had two streams of money coming in that weren’t taxed and you’re not even touching your retirement accounts, could you live on $4,000 a month? How about $7,000 a month? How much money do you actually need to live on?
