I definitely see your point but I love receiving gift cards because then I get the excuse to shop there! What I really prefer is restaurant gift cards. But you’re absolutely right, the company could fold at any time!

I’ve got stuck with some gift cards that never got used. So now when Kroger is running special fuel points on cards I only buy for stores I go to all the time. 200 fuel points is $7.00 on gas. Every little bit helps

Around Christmas time, tons of places give bonus gift cards for buying a gift card, and that is not like a free loan, so I'm gonna keep on doing it

Great content Tyler, I agree except when a certain retailer that isn’t going out of business offers 10% off their gift cards. I shop there regularly so this is a nice benefit. In general though I agree, hate using gift cards especially for presents, plus you tend to buy something you normally wouldn’t buy.
