@leonlubiiiserrrrr adlı şəxsə cavab verilir What if Germany and Poland became one country… today? For 150 years, they've argued over one man: was Copernicus German or Polish? The image of slain conservative commentator Charlie Kirk is now displayed on a banner outside the U.S. Department of Education headquarters in Washington, D.C., joining several other historical figures honored on the building’s exterior. Installed March 1, the banners feature prominent names such as Benjamin Franklin, Martin Luther King Jr., and Catharine Beecher. Additional banners highlight America’s upcoming 250th anniversary, including one bearing the message: “empowering our states to tell the stories of our heroes in American education.” Kirk, 31, a political activist and ally of President Donald Trump, was fatally shot on Sept. 10 while addressing students at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Authorities charged 22-year-old Tyler Robinson with aggravated murder and other felony counts in connection with the killing. In a statement to USA TODAY, Education Department press secretary Savannah Newhouse said the display recognizes “visionary leaders whose contributions have shaped the future of education for generations.” She cited Franklin’s well-known belief that “an investment in knowledge pays the best interest,” adding that the nation’s 250th anniversary presents an opportunity to recommit to expanding educational opportunity for future generations. The banners, which hang along the department’s Maryland Avenue façade, also include tributes to Booker T. Washington and Anne Sullivan. With the exception of Kirk, each of the individuals featured is widely recognized for a career in education or academia.#fyp #viral
