@the.unfilmed: The whole arena was on its feet for the anthem. One young man stayed in his seat. Then Putin walked over and stopped right beside him. It was September 2011, a packed hall at Luzhniki in Moscow, carried live on Russian television. As the Russian anthem played, thousands of people stood. Putin came down onto the floor holding his papers, and the camera followed him. He walked along the front row and stopped next to a young man in a light blue shirt who was still sitting. A second later the young man got up, and the two of them stood side by side until the anthem ended. Years later the moment went viral again with India's anthem edited over the top, but the anthem in the hall that night was Russia's own. Would you have stood up, or stayed sitting?
