It’s quicker to dictate, but it’s much better to type as you can edit as you go. I’ve not found a single app that can edit as well, and authentically in my ToV as typing. I might give Wispr Flow a try.

tearly all the apps and platforms offver voice dictation. Word has had it for years and also reding it back to you. Is use them alot for work. Dosent yourk in the office but does if you are like me and have an office in your garden

very rarely is the speed of typing the limiting factor for me. most of the time, it's getting the message right and that usually involves a lot of editing, neither of which is helped in any way by STT

The problem is my accent (southern country) doesn’t love it. Also. Typing slows town my brain enough to pick the right words. The idea comes way faster than the words.

I’ve been using voice dictation (dragon voice dictation) since 2012. Dictation is the fastest form of written communication. And things have changed since you had to read a portion of 2001 Space Odyssey and then give it a few lines from Alice in Wonderland. Now I simply import my special words dictionary and pronounce the more difficult ones. Hundred percent agree with this brilliant fellow.

I like to think before I put words into existence. And this usually takes more time than I am able to type. So, my typing usually is not as fast as it could be. But that’s a feature. The only thing stumbling words into a device would change for me is that I would annoy the people around me not by making noises by pressing keys on a keyboard but by making noises coming off my mouth.
