this is grossly misunderstanding what happened. What that ruled was that the shooting itself was justified, and it wasn't because the driver stole diapers; it was because the driver was refusing to obey orders from LEO and trying to run over once of them with her car. The shooting was ruled justified because the officers were defending themselves. The fact the 1 YO got caught in the crossfire is definitely tragic. But his killing was not ruled justified. That distinction is very important.
